Middletown Police Department Partners with Neighborhood House to Stock Pantry Shelves

From now through December 12th, the Middletown Police Department is collecting non-perishable food items to help stock our pantry shelves. Their holiday food drive will help us meet the needs of local families experiencing food insecurity.

For too many of our neighbors, each day brings uncertainty as they struggle between paying bills and buying groceries. One of the ways we can help is by making sure food is readily available to those who need it.

Your Support Makes a Difference

The Middletown Police Department is making it easy to donate. Drop off your non-perishable food items Monday through Friday, 8am-8pm, at their location: 130 Hampden Road, Middletown, DE 19709.

Our most-needed items include:

  • Tuna and canned meats

  • Soups and beans

  • Boxed meals (mac and cheese, tuna helper, etc.)

  • Pasta and sauces

  • Cereal

  • Rice

  • Personal care items

Hunger doesn't take a break — food insecurity is a year-round challenge that affects so many. And right now, we're seeing unprecedented demand at our pantry.

How Else Can You Help?

Spread the word far and wide — share information about the food drive with your friends and family. You can also organize a collection at your workplace or school. If you'd rather donate hygiene items, bottled water, or bags, we need those too! And if you have questions, call our Middletown office at 302.378.7217.

Together, we can make this holiday season brighter for all.
