Hunger Doesn't Take a Break: Our Middletown Food Pantry Needs Your Help

The shelves at our Middletown food pantry tell a story, one of increasing need and finite resources. For too many of our neighbors, each day brings uncertainty and stress as they struggle to put food on the table. For those facing the choice between paying bills and buying groceries, we have the opportunity to help — to alleviate some of the pressure they’re experiencing.

Food insecurity doesn't take a break. It's a year-round challenge that affects families, seniors, and individuals right here in our community. And right now, that challenge is growing.

Our food pantry, a lifeline for many, is facing a critical shortage. When our shelves are full, we can provide essential nutrition to those who rely on our services. When they’re not, it becomes much more difficult. But with your help, we can ensure that no one in our community goes without.

Our Most-Needed Items

Over the last year, our Middletown food pantry has struggled to keep up with gowing demand. For our neighbors facing tough times financially, our pantry offers hope and relief — but only if we can keep it well-stocked.

Your donations of the following items can make a difference right away:

  • Tuna and assorted canned meats

  • Canned soups and beans

  • Boxed meals (mac and cheese, tuna helper, beef helper, etc.)

  • Pasta and sauces

  • Cereal

  • Rice

  • Frozen meats (beef, fish, chicken, pork)

  • Frozen or canned fruits and vegetables

  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes

  • Soap, shampoo, and conditioner

Remember, any non-perishable food item is helpful. Please use this list as a guide, but don't let it stop you from donating what you have on hand, even if it's not listed. As long as it’s shelf-stable, we can put it to good use.

Every Donation Counts

Every ounce of support for our food pantry is greatly appreciated and goes directly to helping our neighbors. We are happy to accept unexpired food items, bottled water, hygiene items, brown paper bags, and heavy plastic bags.

Join us in making a meaningful impact. Let's fill those shelves and ensure that everyone in our community has access to life's essentials. Remember, hunger doesn't take a break — and neither should our efforts to combat it.

Together, let's make sure our neighbors have enough to eat!
